The Providence Friars may own the toughest schedule in the country this week. On one hand, that’s not very comforting.
On the other, however, the Friars need a big win or three. They’ll have two golden opportunities over the next four days with road tests at No. 11 Creighton and No. 3 Villanova.
First up is Wednesday’s game in Omaha, which has been moved to 7 p.m. You can hear the game on WPRO with John Rooke and Joe Hassett.
Long-time Rhode Island sportswriter Brendan McGair joins Kevin McNamara to preview the game and also discuss some breaking local sports news: the Rhode Island Interscholastic League is allowing most winter sports to begin competition as early as Friday, Jan. 22.
