It’s time to talk sports!
I’ve always been a sports radio fan, stretching way back to Guy Manilla on WBZ in Boston in the 1970’s. The sports talk game moved into Providence in the 1980’s with the legendary Chuck Wilson on WPRO.
All sorts of reiterations have abounded in Providence, Boston and around the country since then. Seemingly everyone now has a Podcast – like the 401 Podcast right here on KevinMcSports.com.
But not everyone has a sports talk show, on the biggest and best radio station in town. That’s why we’re excited to announce the KevinMc Sports Hour on WPRO. Tune in weeknights from 6-7 p.m. on WPRO 630AM/99.7 FM on your radio dial.
The show kicks off next Tuesday, Jan. 19. We’ll talk a heavy dose of college basketball but can’t wait to see what Tom Brady and the Buccaneers do this weekend in the NFL playoffs. We have the Celtics and their COVID issues, the Bruins getting going and why the heck aren’t high school sports being played in Rhode Island.
We’ll have interesting guests – many with a Rhode Island bent – and welcome callers with interesting questions and observations.
The KevinMc Sports Hour is only an hour. It’ll be fast, hard-hitting and fun. I’ll even offer my sports betting picks.
The powerhouse radio signal beams into Massachusetts and Connecticut but if you are outside the area feel free to download the WPRO app on your phone. It’s easy and free so tune in starting next Tuesday night.
