There is only one Pete Gillen and Providence basketball fans remember him well. Gillen won big at Xavier, PC and at Virginia and is now one of the most entertaining voices on TV calling games or in the studio at CBS Sports Network.

Pete retired from coaching after very successful stints at Xavier, Providence, and Virginia and is currently a NCAA Men’s Basketball color analyst as well as a studio analyst for CBS Sports. Gillen talks about his time coaching at Providence highlighted by the Friars 1997 run to the Elite 8. The 97′ Friars were led by future NBA players: Austin Croshere, Jamel Thomas, Ruben Garces, and God Shammgod.
